Returns, Exchanges & Cancellations

At Cheapest Washable Rugs, we aim to make your shopping experience as hassle-free as possible. Our returns, exchanges, and order cancellations policy is designed to ensure that you have a smooth process in case of any issues with your purchase.

Returns Process

  • Return Authorization (RA): To initiate a return, you will be issued an RA number. Keep this number safe for future reference during the return process.
  • Return Pick-Up & Refund: After receiving the RA number, the rug will be picked up by a third-party courier. Upon its safe return, you will be refunded, minus shipping and restocking fees.
  • Restocking Fee & Return Shipping: A restocking fee of 20% per item will apply, and a $49 return shipping fee will be deducted from your refund (unless the fee is higher, in which case we will notify you).
  • Return Instructions: Detailed return instructions will be provided to you when you initiate the return. Ensure the RA number is visible on the package when it is being picked up.
  • Returns from Remote Areas: Additional costs may apply for returns from Northern Territory, regional, and remote areas, and these will be deducted from the refund.

Please note: All return requests must be made within 30 days of receiving your order.

Order Cancellations

  • Before Dispatch: If you cancel your order before dispatch, a 10% restocking fee per item will apply.
  • After Dispatch: If you choose to cancel your order after dispatch, you will need to follow the Change of Mind Return process.

Damaged Rugs

  • Upon Delivery: If the item or packaging is visibly damaged, refuse the shipment, and we will arrange for a refund or replacement.
  • After Acceptance: If you discover damage after accepting the rug, contact us within 5 business days. You may choose either a refund or a replacement.
  • Damage in Transit: Our rugs are insured during transit. If your rug is damaged during delivery, we will assist with the claim process, though liability for damage once the rug leaves our warehouse is with the third-party courier.
  • Inspection: Returns for damaged goods will be processed once inspected at our warehouse, which may take up to 7–14 business days.

Change of Mind Returns

  • Eligibility: You can return a rug within 30 days if you change your mind, but you will be responsible for the return shipping (capped at $49) and a 20% restocking fee.
  • Condition of Return: The rug must be unused, in its original packaging, and in 'as-new' condition. Any damaged or improperly packed returns may incur additional handling fees.
  • Exclusions: Clearance or discontinued items are not eligible for returns. Additionally, rug non-slip underlays are non-refundable, so please ensure the correct choice is made at purchase.

Wrong Item Delivered

  • If We Send the Wrong Item: We apologize for any errors. If you receive the wrong item, contact us within 14 business days, and we will arrange a replacement and return of the incorrect item at no cost to you.

Drop-Off Returns

  • No Drop-Off Returns: We no longer accept returns at our Sydney warehouse due to health and safety concerns. Please use the return pick-up process instead.
